Abstract


Half of the twentieth century design in the world emerge as Asia, Hong Kong, the accumulation of cultural exchange between East and West metropolis, the constant impact of the foreign elements, began to gradually explore the use of traditional Chinese elements, to the seventies and eighties, the Hong Kong flat designers can not only reasonable use of the traditional Chinese elements into their works, and begin the integration with Western design, created a number of highly acclaimed designs. Start the Hong Kong graphic design followed by the international attention. It is caused by the traditional Chinese elements of these highly graphic design works to attract, so I have conducted in-depth study of its interest.Graphic designer in Hong Kong through the large collection of graphic design works, and read books and magazines to find all relevant information with the network, using integrated inductive, comparative analysis and examples demonstrate the method, several generations of graphic designers from Hong Kong started the development process, namely, elements from traditional Chinese aesthetic thought, art and symbolic elements of ink analysis, deep level mining its cultural connotations, so that Hong Kong’s traditional Chinese elements in the graphic design of not only stay in the "form", and even extended to " Meaning "and" God "meaning, this also for our heritage of traditional Chinese elements and pointed out the direction of innovation. Finally, the article with examples to illustrate the traditional Chinese elements in the use of Hong Kong Graphic Design, and reflected by the value. Clearly how the traditional elements of Chinese in Hong Kong in the use of graphic design and draw a lot of inspiration, its essence, to its dregs, past serve the present, inclusive. The research projects can revitalize the traditional elements of Chinese and Hong Kong graphic design without losing the national characteristics, to achieve harmony.
