Abstract


In resent years ,the graduatesemployment has gone into the mistake direction of great employment rate and low extent of job satisfaction. There are many factors contributing to the graduates’low job satisfactions ,but the difference between employment expectations and the employment reality is the first of them .The irrational employment expectations of the seniors have become an obstruction to an successful application for employment. What are the seniors’employment expectations? How do the employment expectations of experienced graduates differ from the employment expectations of seniors. How do the employment expectations affect the job satisfactions . With these question the author did this reserach.On the basis of the analysis and evaluation of the existing research results on employment expectations and job satisfactions, the paper analyzed the differences between the seniors’employment expectations and the graduates’employment expectations, and the effect of employment expectations on job satisfactions using a survey of bachelor of economics and management in some universities subordinate to Beijing .The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Through the analysis of employment expectations, both seniors and graduates have the highest expectations for intrinsic value latitude and the lowest expectations for status reputation latitude. Seniors place the highest value on "high income", and "provides insurances". Graduates place the highest value on "high income" and "equal opportunity fair competition". All expectations of graduates are lower than the seniors’.(2) Through the analysis of the job satisfactions, the most satisfying options are "close to home", "fair competition", "equality of opportunity" and "promotion opportunities" .The lest satisfying options are "consistent with personal interests", "professional counterparts", and‘opportunities to go abroad". Nine options in twenty-four options are less satisfied than the neutrality.(3) Through the analysis of the seniors’and the graduates’employment expectations, a significant difference was observed in the employment expectations between seniors ,and graduates comparing with the seniors the graduates like institutional units and self-employed more and prefer beijing-tianjing area to other place. Seniors are more concerned with payment and welfare , though graduates are more concerned with personal development the biggest difference between the seniors and seniors is "professional counterparts" and smallest difference is" close to home".(4) Through the analysis of the effect of employment expectations on job satisfactions, intrinsic value latitude factor external value latitude and status reputation latitude have negative relation with the job satisfactions.(5) Against the contributing factor for the different employment expectations between seniors and graduates ,this paper give the government the schools the units and the seniors some advise .
