Abstract


On October 24th 2006, State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) officially issued the industry standard of mobile multimedia broadcasting in China (commonly known as mobile TV), and determined that the standard of China Mobile multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) was adopted in China, which was developed by China independently.In March 2009, SARFT was agreeed with China Mobile Company that the CMMB would be equipped with the Mobile Broadcast Business Management System (MBBMS) of China Mobile Company. With the existing mobile communication network management, billing systems, authentication and certification mechanisms, broadcast mobile TV services can be operational and manageable.China Mobile Company has always been developing CMMB/MBBMS mobile TV business by phone central purchasing bidding. In 2011, China Mobile plans to centrally purchase 12.2 million CMMB/MBBMS enabled mobile phone, most of which are smart phones. Android is already the number one smart phone operating system, and CMMB/MBBMS mobile phone based on Android is an urgent market demand.Combined with the actual development process, this thesis studied the development process of CMMB/MBBMS function on Android platform in detail. The main contents include:1. After overview of CMMB/MBBMS and mobile TV technology, Android operating system platform, the basic development of technology and the actual setting up of development environment are described;2. CMMB/MBBMS Scheme based on Android platform including the overall program, hardware design, software design and production process design are introduced.3. Software design of CMMB/MBBMS on Android platform is studied in detail, including software technical program, MMI process control, interface processes, data connectivity, XML parsing, audio and video player, driver software and compatibility. 4. Special technologies and debugging methods needed to realize mobile TV in the Android platform are studied deeply, such as use of Activity, Service, Intent, ADB and logcat. At the same time, the method of optimizing starting interface, playing interface, XML analysis and improving efficiency are studied, such as the use of SDK environment, simulated data testing and downloading by adb push.
