With the application of the informationization technology in the modern warfare, joint operations already become the primary manner of the modern warfare, the elements of the battlefield become more and more, and the area of the battlefield also becomes globality. As an important instrumentality of the war game , wargame also faces the challenge of the two aspects, the computer wargame of the globality becomes a trend gradually. Take this development trend as the application background, according as the theory of the discrete global grid system, discuss the theory and the technology of the modeling of the battlefield environment in the computer wargame. With the need of the computer wargame to the model of the battlefield environment, the research of the creation of the Discrete Global Hexagonal Grid System (DGHGS) figure space, and the modeling of the battlefield environment becomes emphases. The following are what we have done in this dissertation:1. Analyse the function and characteristic of the hexagonal in the wargame thoroughly, bring forward the thought that impose the thory of the geodesic discrete global grid system to create the global computer wargame map. Consider the special needs of the wargame, analysis and ascertain the five elements of DGHGS, design and carry out the arithmetic of grid generation.2. Impose the PYXIS structure during the creation of the figure space of DGHGS, introduce the method of the grid dispartion, and design a close-packed encoding space. Introduce the operation algorithm and approach of the grid address addition and subtraction, improve the efficiency of operations on the discrete grid.3. Carry out the neighbor finding of the grid through the address addition table, design the method of arrangement search of the grid based on the PYXIS and the grid coding mechanism. Discourse the conversion arithmetic between the grid address and the longitude and latitude coordinate, and validate and analysis the efficiency of the arithmetic.4. Discuss the expression model of the spherical entity based on the DGHGS, bring forward the conception of the approach exponential of arrangement relation, and optimize the expression model of line and area spherical entity.5. Take the needs of the warfare models and the characteristic of the map data, select some important elements to the campaign actions, and investigate the measure of the modeling of property information of the grid.
