Abstract


School health education makes“letting students learn health knowledge”as the starting point, and takes“improving students’health literacy”as the destination. It has the double functions of imparting knowledge and improving health development. Biology teaching becomes a new viewpoint in implementing school health education because of its unique subject characteristics. So far, most studies on health literacy at home stay at theoretical level, researches on how to improve students’health literacy by biology teaching from the viewpoint of biological subject are relatively scarce.The thesis is based on the researches of middle high school students’present situation on health literacy and the interviews of biology teachers, to get an overall idea of students’understanding about health knowledge, health skills, and health habits. Through the analysis of these data and interviews, the author finds out that the present situation of students’health literacy is not optimistic, and schools should strengthen the enforcement of health education and to change this situation thoroughly.According to the Criteria of Middle High School Students’Health Education, the author makes a classification and collection on the middle high school biology curriculum criterion and the textbook of People’s Education Press, and collates the related health knowledge which can be used as health education materials. These materials provide a specific content guidance on class infiltration, and prove that the biology subject has its unique characteristics in implementing health education among the numerous approaches.The author of this thesis takes the biology education philosophy as the guiding concept, and puts forward the teaching strategies, which can improve students’health literacy in biology class, based on the integration of health education theories and biology teaching theories. The author also makes a specific illustration on every strategy and lays the foundation for implementing. Students’exploring and experiencing is the center on strategy designing, and it aims at protruding students’self-feeling on health and the process of changing health knowledge into health literacy. The author thinks that schools should often develop different forms of health education activities and teachers should give students timely health education in class. It is hoped that these suggestions can provide a reference for the biology teachers on cultivating students’ health literacy during teaching process.
