With the development of computer network, mobile agent as the child of artificial intelligence and distributed computing, has really become a hot research place in distributed computing.Mobile agent is a independent computer programs which can operate indep-endently in the heterogeneous network.it presents user’s aspiration and completes the task which is assigned by the user.Good communication mechanism is essential in the distributed network which based on mobile agent. The communication of mobile agent is distinctive from the general meaning of communication because of its autonomy and mobility.Reliable and effective communication mechanism is exactly the research focal point in the system based on mobile agent.This paper analys the ideas and content of the existing communication algorithms in depth and improves the Home-based forwarding mechanism. The paper has outlined the structure of mobile agent communication diagram and designed a communication structure including liaison, home information form and the server registry,solved the naming of mobile agent, physical addressing, how to communicate and so on. In order to improve communication efficiency, the message type is divided into non-emergency message and emergency message, each message is treated in its own way. Then it describes about the whole communication process and the discontinuous transfer process of message.In the end,we will make a overall qualitative analysis to this algorithm, mainly from accuracy, reliability, asynchronism, communication efficiency.we analyze algorithm process step by step by mathematical thought.By comparing with other communication algorithms, we at last conclude the rationality and feasibility of this algorithm. Finally,through experiment for the algorithm in a simple distributed network which is set up by several computers and Aglets platform,the algorithm is proved to be reasonable and superiority furtherly.
