Abstract

Shallow water multibeam sounding system is a wide coverage , high-precision and high-resolution underwater topography measurement equipment . In the development of multi-beam bathymetric technology , multi-beam bathymetric system has become a mainstream tool for detection of submarine topography . With the changes in market demand , the shallow water multibeam sounding system has become an important development direction of the shallow water areas of measurement . The references of similar products at home and abroad , designed and implemented shallow water multibeam bathymetric system to receive and process the extension portion . On the magnitude of the sampling requirements according to the the seabed echo signal characteristics, and the analog-to-digital converter module , each receiving channel are designed AGC automatic gain control module to ensure that the channel output signal limiting phenomenon does not occur . Receive extension part of the design including pre-amplifier , band-pass filtering , automatic gain control (AGC) signal conditioning modules ; receiving extension function is to complete the echo signal amplification, filtering and normalization . Processing extension portion comprises analog-to-digital conversion and digital beam forming module . The analog-to-digital conversion module using the the CPLD device control multi-channel ADS7864 collected using CPLD pin re - defined function , effectively reduce the size of the hardware circuit . The digital beamforming module uses the DSP chip the TMS320C6713, in order to meet in the case of large amount of data , high processing efficiency , to meet the design requirements of the sounding processing extension . System performance testing and data collection experiment , this paper, the design of shallow water multi-beam sounding system to receive and process extension basically meet the design specifications , to achieve the desired goal .
