Abstract

Along with the wide use of the rhombus chassis, the increasingly highrequirements are needed on the rhombus chassis. The overall frame chassis has failedto meet the requirements of the road performance on the modern vehicle applications. So in order to improve the road performance of the rhombus chassis, the thesisproposed the rhombus chassis of the articulated frame. In this thesis, articulated frame rhombus chassis of the new concept rhombus riceharvester is studied, and the optimization design is done on the chassis suspensionbased on the object of the ride performance of the rhombus chassis. First, the leafsprings of the front and rear suspension is designed in this thesis. The comparison ofthe design stiffness and the calculated stiffness in the ADAMS model demonstratesthat the design method is correct. Second, the chassis dynamic model of8DOF isestablished based on the point contact model between the tire and the ground. Thenthe differential equations of the model are derived using Lagrange equations andsolved using RK method. And the cab vertical weighted acceleration rms value isobtained and analyzed. Third, the sensitivity analysis of the suspension parameters forride comfort is done to determine the design variables to do the ride comfortoptimization design. Then the Latin hypercube sampling method and radial basisfunction model are used to approximate the original dynamic model. Forth, theNSGA-II is used to do the optimization design of the approximate model and theoptimal suspension parameters are obtained. Finally, the comparison between theresponse value of the approximate model and the ride comfort evaluation of theoriginal model shows that the approximate treatment meet the engineering errorrequirements.
