The vehicle vibration is the important factor that affects vehicle’s ride comfortperformance, handling stability, riding comfort, service life of auto parts, etc. Therefore, itbecomes more important to research the vehicle’ vibration performance. There are numerousscholars to study how to reasonably and effectively process the vehicle’s vibration signals,and then take the necessary measures to reduce or inhibit the vibration of vehicle.The author has developed a vehicle vibration performance test system, which based onVisual Basic, combined the MatrixVB4.5, MATLAB, used essential sensors, signalconditioning and other hardware devices, made the secondary development for Top’s UDAQportable data collector. At last, the software system is packaged to installation files, in orderto run it under the Windows environment uninstalled the Visual Basic and MATLAB. Thesystem is able to achieve these functions of signal acquisition, signal analysis, results displayand save files.Signal collection module includes the interface designs of signal acquisition, engineeringcalibration, data acquisition card configuration; single signal acquisition, continuous signalacquisition, data file output. Also includes the signal time domain waveform drawing,waveform parameter display, correlation coefficient calculation and the main controls’property setting. The contents of the signal waveform parameters include the signal’maximum, minimum, mean, standard deviation, variance, mean square value, root meansquare value, the sampling frequency and sampling period. The file formats include “.txt” and“.mat” for signal saving. The system offers auto-save file function while it’s samplingcontinuously.The signal analysis module can realize online and off-line analysis of signal. The moduleincludes file import of effective signal and error signal, reproduction and preservation of thesignal time-domain waveform, display and preservation of signal waveform parameters,signal negating, signal preprocessing (including polynomial trend elimination and smoothing),signal filtering, signal adding window, fast Fourier transform, time domain and frequencydomain transmission rate analysis, correlation analysis, cross correlation analysis, powerspectrum analysis, cross power spectrum analysis, frequency response function estimation,and coherence function. The data of signal analysis can be saved as “.xls” file, the analysisgraphics are outputted in JPG format files.We had a road test for light truck in use of the vehicle vibration performance test system.The test results showed that the system has characteristics of stable performance, simpleoperation, full function, strong practicability, high economic and professional.
