With the arrival of China’s new social construction, the platform lorry for, as a specialkind of transport is used more and more extensively, and its carrying capacity is more andmore large, which puts forward higher request for the travel drive system. And pump-motorclose system as a new transmission mode is more and more widely used. And domesticstudy of the travel drive system technology is less, and the level of study is relatively low,which is also the subject of research meaning. In the travel drive system composed by theengine, variable pump and variable motor, every component connects and influenceanother, and the performance of the system is not only influenced by the performance of thecomponents, also influenced by whether the components matched well or not. Therefore,how to choose the best control strategy so that all the component’s parameters canreasonable match, and make the vehicle play the best comprehensive performance, which isthe most important.In this paper, the main parameters (pressure, rotational speed and efficiency) influencethe component’s performance in the platform lorry’s walking to drive system are analyzed.And it concludes that the matching of the hydraulic components should be in componentswork performance, life and cost and the three should be compromised. On this basis a newthree variables control strategy is put forward,that is, the engine、the variable pump andmotor are using closed-loop control. And the purpose is to guarantee the reasonablematching of the parameters in the system, so as to improve the platform lorry’s power,economy and work efficiency.Based on the actual platform lorry’s walking to drive systemas the prototype, and to meet the control strategy research, the walking to drive system issimplified properly, and this paper puts forward the project of the construction of the testbench, and explains the main equipment selection. And it briefly introduces themeasurement control system of the text bench. The construction of the text bench providesthe research of the platform lorry or other similar vehicles’ walking to drive system withconditions.Then this paper introduces the close-loop model of the engine, pump motor andthe PID control algorithm, and the whole model of the text bench by using the joint ways isbuilt. On the basic of the model, the close system characteristic of the pump and motor issimulated researched, and the law of the system influenced by the main parameters isconcluded. The purpose of the simulation of the three variables is to verify the feasibility ofthe three variables control algorithm, to find the PID parameters adjustment of the law, andto seek the most appropriate parameters. Finally, on the basic of the simulation, the three variables control algorithm is compared with the traditional control algorithm, it concludesthat the three variables is superior.In short, in order to solve the low work efficiency and utilize of power and otherproblems of the walking to drive system of the platform lorry, this paper puts forward theexperimental study of solutions, making a deep analysis of the matching of the engine andhydraulic system, and it puts forward three variables control strategy, and the simulationresults show that, compared with the traditional control method, three variables control canwelly improve the problems existing in the walking to drive system.
