Abstract

Jiangsu Province is located in China's eastern coast, has China's most important coastal beach and a large number of inland rivers and lakes, wetlands, unique geographical location and rich wetland resources making it East Asia an important north-south migratory birds stopover and wintering sites, with high scientific and conservation value. June 2009 -2010 in December of 14 of the the Sunan, Suzhong three regional plots were field survey to study the species diversity in the birds at different stages of Jiangsu Province, and the use of GIS technology Avifauna type of clustering results converted to geographic distribution pattern, birds geographic distribution information into the richness patterns, the main findings are as follows: 1. Statistics Jiangsu Province, a total of 467 kinds of birds, belonging to 19 orders and 74 families neighboring provinces and cities in the province with the highest species diversity. The field survey records 326 kinds of birds, common species; This survey is not found in Jiangsu Province, that the distribution of the 108 kinds of birds; there are 33 kinds of bird distribution records in the literature and requires further OK. Jiangsu Province since 1955, a total increase of 85 species of birds belonging to 15 orders, 36 families, the Passeriformes purpose species up to 34, representing an increase of 40% of bird species; reduction of 10 species of birds belonging to 4 orders, 8 families. 1955-1976 new 33, 10; 1976-1987 new 8; 1987-2005 new 34; 10 new species in 2005-2010. Economic and transport development, raise the level of scientific research to promote the development of the survey of bird species, new birds because subspecies enhance species generated. Clustering results according to the type of flora, birds, Jiangsu Province, is divided into five geographical divisions Province: Xu - Xu hilly province, Huaibei Plain Province, Huainan plains province, Ning - should hilly Mountain Province and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Plain Province. Palaearctic flora characteristics Xu - Xu hilly province Huaibei Plain Province is the most obvious, the Palaearctic birds accounted for 68.31%, 68.57%. Oriental realm Floristic characteristics of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River Plain Province is the most obvious, the Oriental realm birds accounted for 19.52%. Huainan plains province and Ning - should hilly mountainous province transitional flora characteristics, the former emphasis on Palaearctic flora, the latter emphasis on the flora of the Oriental region. Jiangsu Province in Japan, Gubei dividing line. Jiangsu Province bird richness pattern is divided into four levels, the first level is mainly in the eastern part of the Yancheng coastal wetlands along the highest richness, more than 400 kinds, and distribution of more than 80% of the province's birds; second level, mainly in the southern region of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing - Suzhou - line, the second richness, more than 300 kinds; third level mainly dispersed in Lianyungang, Nantong, Suqian its surrounding area, the richness of the more than 250 kinds; first four levels, mainly in the northwest - southeast - line in Xuzhou, Taizhou, richness lowest in more than 200 kinds. Are closely linked to the distribution patterns of bird species richness and environmental characteristics of the different regions of Jiangsu Province.
