Single-frequency fiber lasers with very narrow linewidth output is one of the important development direction of the laser. Narrow linewidth fiber laser characterized in that the laser very narrow spectral linewidth, can ensure that the laser light having excellent coherence. In recent years, single-mode narrow linewidth fiber lasers as a high degree of coherence light source, with its single-frequency, a very narrow linewidth and long coherence length, easy to form the advantages of all-fiber structure, in optical fiber communications, optical sensing and high precision, long from the coherent detection and defense and civilian areas has broad application prospects. Currently, the narrow linewidth fiber laser research focuses on in cavity shape structural optimization design linewidth compression technology laser mode and the output characteristics. Narrow linewidth single frequency fiber laser sensing applications are mainly concentrated in the active cavity structure, through the establishment of the relationship of the cavity structure parameters and laser output spectral characteristics, sensor information, the use of optical time domain reflectometry technology achieve the sensing method and use of the beat signal to the sensing method and so on. In this paper, narrow linewidth erbium-doped fiber laser research goals through a combination of theoretical studies and simulation analysis of narrow linewidth erbium-doped fiber laser and sensing characteristics, proposed a new narrow linewidth doped doped fiber laser structure and multi-longitudinal mode DBR fiber laser sensing characteristics. The main work is as follows: 1. Linear cavity DBR fiber laser mode characteristics simulation analysis shows that the width of the longitudinal mode and longitudinal mode spacing DBR fiber lasers choose the cavity length and the cavity mirror reflectivity important basis for the conclusions. Derivation of the erbium-doped fiber laser output power and threshold power and slope efficiency of expression, doped erbium fiber laser output characteristics and performance parameters of the simulation of the ring cavity. Draw a conclusion erbium-doped fiber laser output power and doped fiber length of doped fiber concentration, there is an optimum matching of the pump power. Proposed a novel based on Fabry - Perot etalon cavity frequency-selective saturation absorption frequency stabilization method body narrow linewidth erbium-doped fiber laser structure. 4 is proposed a novel multi-longitudinal mode DBR fiber laser shot frequent sense of the active temperature, the pressure sensing system. And its temperature, stress, and other basic sensing characteristics of the theoretical research and simulation analysis.
