In the paper, we designed a new combustion control system to solve theproblems in most of the thermal power plant, which includes low communicationrate,high error data rate,stability of network is not good enough, processing dualredundant host failover is slow, and losingdata in the process of the hostfailover.Communication between the master-slave station of this system uses theProfibus fieldbus protocol, and thisprotocol has some advantages,such as highspeedcommunication rate, communication error rate is low, abundant diagnosticinformation, etc. On the basis ofreliable communication, we designed a dualredundant hot standby master station,which has two redundant Profibus networks.Such a system can be more stable and reliable.According to the requirements of the system requirements analysis andhardware design scheme, we introduced the system ssoftware design scheme. Thescheme includes subsystmes, the communication between each subsystem,subsystems internal modules, fault tolerance technology and fault tolerance scheme.In the following section, we introduced the detailed design of the combustioncontrol system. The combustion control system includes two subsystemswhitch isHost system and Communication system.We mainly introduced the subsystemsoftware design in detail, and some designs of key technologies were expounded,such as the theory of Dual Port Memory, the design of application task which isbased on the netX100chip, the design and implementation of Profibuscommunication between master station and slave station, etc.The last chapter is testing system, including functional testingand performancetesting.The content of test includes the communication between each subsystem, theinternal functions of the subsystem, union debugging of the system, as well as thesystem stability, reliability testing.With PROFIBUSprotocal and dual redundant hot-standby technology, this newsystem meets the design requirements of network communication rate, real-timeresponse,stability of dual redundant Profibus network, dual redundant host failover.Compared with the old system, the performances in all aspects have improved. So,this system has a very high market value.
