Abstract

Household consumption of energy of significant influence on the natural environment; countryside is the focus of the current difficulties of sustainable development, for self-sufficient farmers, household production, income and consumption levels of demand for resources, Thus affecting the ecological environment. Therefore, the level of rural households and their ecological footprint on the study of family life and agricultural production, the relationship between energy consumption is important.In this paper, there are 51 representative farmers selected from Ping Gui Management District of Hezhou city in Guangxi.We have survey to the farmers on the production of energy consumption and family visited by way of semi-structured. According to the survey data in the calculation of family ecological footprint, component analysis of ecological footprint, ecological footprint analysis of the composition of the family and the relationship between income and ecological footprint, using multiple linear regression model to analyze factors of ecological footprint.Agricultural production household ecological footprint is a major component of the total footprint of rural households accounted for 93.37%. Followed by the food footprint, which is mainly due to local farming based, mainly used for household food production and consumption of their own. Agricultural production area of rural families decided to play a major role in ecological footprint. Survey farmers ecological footprint per capita household is 3.6477 gha, high-income families the largest ecological footprint per capita family, as 6.9865 gha, the highest-income families have the smallest ecological footprint per capita family, as 0.1496 gha. The total household ecological footprint is 904.6247gha, lower income families have most household ecological footprint, as 60.2262 gha, the highest total household income families have smallest ecological footprint, as 0.5985 gha. As a whole showed a normal distribution. Local 2009, the ecological footprint of different-income families the unfair coefficient was 0.42, indicating differences in the income of the family caused by the unfairness of the ecological footprint more prominent.To reduce the ecological footprint of households, survey of family farmers farming based economy, the social and economic development is on relatively low levels. The need to improve fertilizer efficiency of pesticide use, adjust agricultural production structure, change the mode of production and consumption patterns, increased biomass per unit area of land and land resources use efficiency, reduce the ecological footprint, improve the capacity of ecosystems. Final, the social and economic benefits and environmental become ecological benefits of harmonization.
