With the development of society, the battery has more and more extensiveapplication in communication base station, industrial electric vehicles and other aspects.But the improper maintenance of the battery performance measurement and chargingand discharging process will cause unimaginable consequences. Therefore, the work ofthe battery monitoring of the health and performance maintenance done properly or notwill directly affect the service life of the battery, or even cause unimaginable economicloss.So, a convenient, stable, real-time portable battery monitoring system is verysignificative.With S3C2440as the control core of the system, the detection system integrates avariety of advantages of the Linux operating system and QT as interface designingsoftware, and it has completed the design and research of software platform andhardware platform about battery detection system. First, the research background of thistopic and the application environment was introduced, and research situation andresearch significance is detailed introduced in first chapter. As follows,the study of thekernel transplatation of Linux operation and the disign and development of driverprogram is in-depth done as well as the design of QT interface software.Then,proceeding with the design of software platform and hardware platform of thesystem,the design and realization of each module was emphatically introduced.Dataacquisition and processing module and ARM core control module are included in thehardware platforms. The collected performance-parameter of battery is transferred toAD7705, after filtering, amplification, a voltage follower and other processing by dataacquisition module. The internal resistance of the battery is measured through thesynchronous AC sampling technologies. Because of the demand of the parameterscollection,two pieces of AD7705are used in the system,each piece connects with ARMby GPIO to realize the control to the data acquisition module and data reading andwriting. The driver designment of AD7705in linux is completed in software. Thefriendly visual interface is designed, and the collected parameters can be displayed inthe interface dynamic and real-time. The effect is visual and strikings. The collecteddata will be stored into the light database of SQLite, which only takes up hundreds ofmemory space. Eventually, the data will be stored to USB device. It is very convenient and quick.After the long-time test and studying, the initial design of the detection target hasbeen completed, and it is successful to build a portable battery-detection system takingARM system as the platform. The system can stably and high-precisionly detect varioushealth state parameters for battery performance, and analysis the performance status ofbattery. It can satisfy the requirement of battery manufacturers.
