Abstract


In order to meet evolving test system required,Test Engineers have been committed to the high-speed,reliable,cheap technology of the equipment bus.In the unique way,LXI bus combines the advantages of GPIB and VXI,and it is based on LAN test bus.It is suitable for remote measurement and control,and is made a highly competitive alternative technologies by the characteristics of the breadth and the low-cost in the existing equipment buses.LXI not only can provide embedded measurement technology and PC standard I/O connectivity to a rack and stack instruments,but also can achieve the modular characteristics of the system based on the card-type equipment and reduce its volume.For the aviation/defense, automotive,industrial,medical and consumer electronics and other fields,the compact,flexible package,high-speed input/output and reliable measurement capability of LXI can effectively meet the needs of R&D and manufacturing engineers.The project is to develop Digital Multimeter with the six and half precision based on LXI.LXI interface hardware is composed of ARM9 processor,FPGA and PHY,and they contribute the hardware plateform of LXI interface.then embedded Linux system is built by porting of u-boot and linux kernel; the function of trigger and synchronization is implemented by IEEE1588 IP core in FPGA;The ARM7 (lpc2132) chip controls measuring circuit.Web server and CGI web page are implemented by porting of Boa.It adopts the interface circuit and measurement circuit separation mode at the physical structure.In the control of cpu on a dual control mode, we can achieve the universal interface circuit,and reduce the cycle and cost of the development. Also avoid high-speed digital circuit for measuring circuit interference,achieve high-quality measurement results.LXI driver is designed on the basis of VISA resource.The LXI module is conformant with class B,which will promote the research on LXI.LXI modules comply with this standard B grade of LXI1.1,2U size, support a variety of triggers, Auto-IP and manual IP configuration,and 10/100M Network.It has DC voltage, AC voltage,DC current,AC current, second-line resistance,four-wire resistive measurement functions.
