Abstract

Ureaplasma urealyt icum, associated with a wide array of infectious diseases, has been an important opportunistic pathogen of human with higher and higher drug resistance. For most of the patients, they have no choice but got the treatment of antibiotics. After all, the drugs have some side effects at the same time. The patients also suffered from the recurring outbreaks which lead them to depression. Professor Li has been engaged in clinical work and medical education for almost30years and has rich experience about it.He had made achievements in treating and explaining the mechanism of mycoplasma infection by traditional Chinese medicine. He emphasize the importance of the concept of wholism and the pattern identification. He also stress that we should treat both cause and symptoms and focus on physically and mentally healthy at the same time. The first part of the article is to summarize systematically of Professor Li’ scognitions and experiences about the Ureaplasma urealyticum infect ion. The article based on my collection of his documents that have been published and the cases that I collected on his clinic. The second part of the article is to discuss the possible mechanism of CangBaiShiDuQing treating mice model of Uu colonisation.Method:The research was devided into2parts. The100Balb/c mice were divided randomly into5groups. Al group(10mice) were treated with the Chinese herb decotion Iavage for7days, twice a day, while its control group were lavaged with isotonic Na chlorid. After intervention both were administered subcutaneously with Oestradiol once a week. After the second time injection, both were operated with intravaginal bacterial injection of urealyticum. After the last time of oestradiol injection, the vaccination was repeated. Then identify the rate of Uu infection. The second part of research contains A2group and the B2group. We identified the intravaginal Uu colonisation rate of both group right after the mice model were successfully established. The decotion or isotonic Na chlorid Iavage were done for7days before the second time identification. The next step we use ELISA to determine the mice vaginal mucosa IL-12concentration.Results:To feed with the medicine or not did not make significant difference on the colonization rate, but there is still have some slight difference. Compared with the blank group the expressions of IL-2in mice vaginal mucosa were obviously decreased in model groups (Bl, B2)(P<0.05).The expressions of IL-2made significant difference between the Chinese herb groups (A2, Al) and their control groups (B2, B1)(P<0.05). While the Intervention groups didn’t make significant difference wi th the blank group (P>0.05). Compared with the blank group, the model groups didn’t act so close, The Bl groupdavage first) didn’t make significant difference (P>0.05) while the B2group(inject Uu first) made significant differece(P<0.05)Conclusion:CangBaiShiDuQing can effect the expression of IL-12which would be the immune mechanism that it can anti the Inflammatory lesions caused by Uu infection.
