Objective:To observe the clinical effeciency of Coptis and magnolia bark beverage, in the treatment o1urticapia (the type of the gastrointestinal damp-heat).Methods:We divided90cases into two groups at random.All cases in the two groups have no statistical sifnificance differences in age, course of disease afd the severity, thns possessing comparability.45cases in treatment group,treated by CMBB;45cases in control group,treated with ebastine. The number, scale, outbreak frequency per week, each time duration, itch, appear-ance of rash, relapse rate and SSRI were used to monitor the disease activity.Results:In treatment group, the total effective rate was82.92%. In control group, the total effective rate was65.78%. There is sicnificant difberence shown between two groups in the rates of effectiveness (P<0.05); the significant difference about the value of SSRI and the integral of symptoms was shown statistically before and after treatment in all groups (P<0.05). In reduation of relapse rate, there is a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusions:CMBB and ebastine are both effective treatments to urticaria. At the same time, it is superior to ebastine in the clinical efficacy.
