Abstract


EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) is the response that is not needed in the electronic equipment. This response will cause the performance of device degradation. In order to make sure the electronic devices work properly in the EMI, the filtering technique is applied to design electrical connector. Filter connectors can prevent the effects of signal leakage or outside interference. The connectors with filtering features as a good anti-electromagnetic interference components is small size, light weight, low cost. A large number of the device is applied in variety of weapons systems both at home and abroad.Based on the filter theory, this paper discussed the design of filter connectors, including fabrication and testing. This paper contains three parts:First, introduce the filter connector trends and development conditions at home and abroad in brief. Through the equivalent circuit of filter, calculated the parameters of filter connectors by simulating with ADS software to select the best parameter values. The materials and processes also were discussed in the first part.Second, this paper analyzed effect of electromagnetic compatibility in the testing of the device, especially influence of fixture. Discussed the deviation of vector network analyzer (VNA) in the filter connector measurement and the reliability of products.Third, design and fabricate the testing fixture which is used for determining the stand voltage, insulation resistance, capacitance of products. Design and fabricate the efficient fixture to complete the screening and the electrical performance testing of product; Design and fabricate the shielding box which measures the insertion loss of product, improving test accuracy of the attenuation characteristics of the test target. Further, set up a test platform of filter connector to improve the efficiency of the product testing.Through the testing, the performance of filter connectors chip achieves the design requirements completely, and has reached domestic advanced level in some areas.
