Abstract

Objective: MRA assessment of vertebral - basilar artery and the internal carotid artery system lesions positive rate, a good site and other related indicators, provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of different types of cerebrovascular disease. Methods: Taishan Medical College Hospital from January 2009 to January 2010 to the neurology clinic and associated with symptoms or signs of cerebrovascular disease in patients with 1030 cases were confirmed by brain MRA neck MRA confirmed. American GE 1.5T superconducting MRI machines and supporting 8-channel head and neck coil analysis the cranial neck cerebral artery lesions and vascular development status, application SPSS16.0 statistical software for data analysis and processing. Group of the internal carotid artery system, the highest positive rate of lesions in the right middle cerebral artery, the proportion of 19.55%; followed by the left middle cerebral artery, the proportion of 15.42%; the left posterior communicating artery lesion lowest positive rate proportion of 5.14%; lesion types are narrow-based. 1003 cases of acquired patients with cerebrovascular disease, vertebral - basilar artery system, the lowest positive rate of vascular lesions in patients 30 years of age, only 4.54%; 30 years old group vasculopathy positive rate was 6.02%; 40 to group blood vessels lesions positive rate was 18.93%; highest 70 years old group vasculopathy positive rate the vascular lesions positive rate was 38.04%. Right vertebral artery lesions highest positive rate, the proportion of 12.25%; followed by the left vertebral artery, the proportion of 7.99%; left posterior cerebral artery lowest proportion of 5.35%. Conclusion: 1. Congenital vascular lesions positive rate of 2.6%, acquired brain vascular lesions positive rate of 43.7%. 2. The cerebrovascular lesions positive rate men higher than women; and positive rates increased with age and increased in patients over the age of 60, the positive rate system lesions of the internal carotid artery in vertebral - basilar artery system. 3. System lesions of the internal carotid artery positive rate high for the right middle cerebral artery; followed by the left middle cerebral artery; minimum of the left posterior communicating artery, and the types of lesions are narrow-based. 4. Vertebral - basilar artery lesions positive rate is high for the right vertebral artery; followed by the left vertebral artery; minimum of the left posterior cerebral artery.
