The relationship of the mind and the body has been the focus of philosophers. Since ancient times, countless philosophers have discussed and researched on the problem and there are many schools concerning about the mind-body theory. The problem exists as human beings could realize their own consciousness and question themselves, even the outside world. In modern western philosophy of mind, psychosomatic relationship has been the focus of their study. Churchland’s Eliminative Materialism can be described as highly original, and it opens up a new research path for the development of psychophysical relations.In the thesis, the author discusses about the relations of the mind and the body under Neurophilosoghy, put the neural biological pathways proposed by Churchland and the relations of the mind and the body in order, and finds the development and the contribution of Churchland’s Eliminative Materialism to the psychophysical problems. The author believes that the mysterious veil of the psychophysical problems can be revealed through the cooperation and with the development of the science and technology and the innovation and the development of the theories, such as neurobiology, philosophy, psychology.The first part:Expound the meaning and the origin of the psychophysical problems, as well as historical survey. The author presents the history and its development of the psychophysical problems and some famous theories from a historical perspective. On account of the study and the discussion on the psychophysical problems, the theory can progress and develop constantly. The second part:Interpret the psychophysical relations under Neurophilosoghy. First, state the retort of Churchland to the traditional psychophysical theory. Then get a new understanding to the relations of the mind and the body in the cancellation of Churchland to Commonsense Psychology. Finally, state the changes and the development of the psychophysical relations under Neurophilosoghy.The third part:State the important functions and the meaning of Churchland’s theory to the development of psychophysical relations under Neurophilosoghy. Neurophilosoghy promotes the research and the development of psychophysical relations from the language and the consciousness and sets a new research path, which has important effects on the further study of psychophysical relations.The fourth part:The veil of the psychophysical relations has not been revealed completely thousands of years. The author believes that the mysterious veil can be revealed with the innovation of the science and technology, the cooperation of the different subjects, the development of the technology and the progress of the subject.
