Laser Display Technology (LDT) is the use of the video signal directly modulated laser beam scans the screen to form images of laser technology and television technology, penetration of the product.The Laser Display Technology has the laser characteristics, so LDT have many advantages than the other display technology. It is one of the most promising technologies to achieve large screen, high definition display. Mainly by the laser, optical deflector and screen components. The major technology is the two aspects, one is W-class Red (R), Green (G), Blue (B) laser light source; the second is related to modulation with color display, scanning and synchronization. So, studies have RGB laser light source, for the LDT will be very meaningful work.This paper will examine how to use solid-state Optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and Second-harmonic generation (SHG) laser technology to achieve RGB laser output. Main tasks include:1. Study semiconductor side of the green pump laser beam and improve the quality of green;2. Study the different nonlinear optical crystal optical parametric oscillation;3. Study the optical parametric oscillator laser out’s signal light and idle light Second-harmonic generation characteristics;4. Study the same time laser output the RGB primary colors lasers. The main innovation of this thesis is as follows:(1)For the first time in double-resonant optical parametric oscillator (DRO) plus doubling the program to achieve three-color RGB laser output;(2) First experiment compared the KTA, KTP crystals in OPO performance dual-wavelength of the oscillation;
