Abstract


Two minority ethnic women writers as the most outstanding contemporary American literature , Toni Morrison and Maxine Hong Kingston has been concerned about the identity of the national women's Construction and growth process . His work, \But in the two works , very few people on them from the perspective of the female Bildungsroman analysis . This article aims to two works as a female Bildungsroman three-pronged study . First , this paper reveals the heroine in the two works in dual culture suffered multiple oppression and confusion ; Second, comparative analysis of the two works heroine seeking identity and growth process , including the role of growth leads the way in the process of growing up , the heroine seeking identity and grow in different ways , as well as the cultural integration strategies ; to explore Morrison and Maxine Hong Kingston with their respective cultural traditions of the traditional Bildungsroman rewritten , innovation and vitality they brought the development of the female Bildungsroman . Through the difficult process of growth of the heroine in the research work , the reader to gain insight into the survival of the state of African-American women and Chinese women .
