Abstract


The courses of teacher education are the core of teacher education, in which the knowledge preservice teachers learn will be applied to the practice in the future. In order to improve the quality of teachers, course setting of teacher education must be researched in depth. Overall, the courses of teacher education in China has formed into certain structures and systems after long term development, but there are still problems in several aspects, for example teaching practice is a mere formality, etc..Therefore learning other countries to achieve self-perfection is a continual work of many scholars.Finland’s high-quality teachers are the key factors of the Finnish education’s success. In recent years, the good performance of Finnish students in the international PISA tests makes Finland’s education a hot topic of many national researches. This paper focuses on course setting of teacher education in Finland. Finland has set the world’s most stringent threshold to select teachers to train teachers through the extensive and intensive courses, rigorous and long-term teacher education internship. This paper will compare course setting of teacher education in Finland and China, hoping to draw some useful experience through the analysis.The first chapter cards the history of course setting of teacher education in Finland and China, and will be divided into several parts in accordance with the development order. The second chapter compares teacher education training objectives and course setting structure in Finland and China, and then carries out a detailed comparative study of the specific contents of teacher education course between the two countries. The last chapter gives some enlightenments for course setting problems of teacher education in China.
