Abstract


There are great needs for secondary vocational education according to the directions of the government, the adjustment of the national economic structures and the development of the local economy. It is an important measure to expand the enrollment of secondary vocational education. Nevertheless, in recent years, the Guangdong provincial secondary vocational schools have to face the fact that it is difficult to enroll new students.This essay, combining the writer’s experience of enrolling new students and the theory gained from his study during being an enrolled postgraduate, tried to reveal the essence of the enrollment problems in secondary vocational education, and scientifically analyzed the enrollment dilemmas and problems met by the Guangdong provincial secondary vocational schools, so as to put forward the countermeasures to the problems.The essay was done by the following parts:Part I The definition of the concerning concepts and the brief introduction of the enrollment experience and enlightenment at home and abroad. Part Ⅱ Discussing the policy base and realistic needs of the expanding enrollment in Guangdong provincial secondary vocational schools.Part Ⅲ Analyzing the underlying causes of the enrollment difficulties and problems in Guangdong provincial secondary vocational schools.Part Ⅳ Putting forward the improving threads and practical models of the enrollment in Guangdong provincial secondary vocational schools.In the ending, the writer pointed out that the difficulties in the course of the development of Guangdong provincial secondary vocational education was temporary. In the currently excellent situation, it was sure that the enrollment of Guangdong provincial secondary vocational schools could get rid of the dilemmas and would sparkle a glowing future.
