Abstract


This paper takes Zhiying Studio as a whole. In my study, I am not only focus Zhiying Hang, but also concerned about the other two key figures, Xuechen Jin and Mubai Li, and more attention should be paid to the other support staff in the Studio,such as Shifang Tang, Yunzhong Song and Muyi Mneng.At the same time,this study also be covered this people like Zhuoying Hang who was responsible for the daily affairs,Miss Luosui Wang who not only as models but also is responsible for studio,Mingshi Hang who post commitment studio works and mounting.The study will make a comprehensive overview of Zhiying Studio.The study covers all phases of Zhiying Studio.The study divided the life of Zhiying Studio into five parts: develpmenting period(1920-1928),booming period (1928-1937),Anti-Japanese war period (1937-1945),afterAnti-Japanese war period (1945-1947),the period between Zhiying Hang’s death to the transformation of industry and commerce in PRC(1947-1953). It covered the Zhiying Studio’s born,growth, prosperity and decline.It’s more detailed and comprehensive than previous studies.Zhiying Studio is advanced than the other studios.It not only have breakthrough in materials,tools and skills of painting, but also make great reform in work form.And it also have a free and open training system and strong brand awareness.Zhiying Studio is one of the most representative of the early period business studios. Zhiying Studio’s born,development and decline closely related to the specific stage which they lived.Zhiying studio reflected the development of the commercial art at that time.It reflected in the new social environment, people’s make great efforts to the modern society. This would have a great reference to the development of contemporary design community.Zhiying Studio encountered serious problems like the contradiction of China and the world, tradition and modernity. The confusion at that time is very similar to the Contemperary design.
