Abstract


Imperial clan is a special group of feudal society. They are in high position, enjoy all the privileges and participated in all kinds of political activities actively. Meanwhile, they have close relations with the supreme rulers. Owing to the former reasons, the supreme rulers in history all pay more attention to the education of imperial clan. Certainly,the historical root is the need for the maintenance to the state power. On the basis of previous experience, Han Dynasty combined with their own need to create a relatively complete system of the royal family education. And this education pattern is the model of future feudal dynasties.The stuty object of this paper is the imperial clan education of Han Dynasty. I make a comprehensive analysis to the scope , the forms , the treatment and selection of teaching staff. And then, on the basis of the former analysis, I conclude the general and concrete characteristics of imperial clan of Han Dynasty.This paper is divided into four chapters. I will give a concrete description respectively. First, I introduce the definition and the forms of imperial clan of Han Dynasty. The scope of the education of the imperial clan cover the intimate relatives of the imperial whose status should be within the Wufu and the princess’s family and relatives of emperors on the side of their mother or wife who should possess a royal clan identity. The way of education of the imperial clan is two forms: experts’education and expository method. Of course, in the different history stage, rulers adopted different way. Then, I introduce the education matter about princes and princess and other members with clan identity. Finally, I conclude the characteristics of education of imperial clan which consist of three aspects: the quality train on the monarch in the process of the education, the purpose for political service, one teacher having two identity-officer and tutor.
