Abstract


With the fast and deep development of the economic globalization and regional integration, more and more countries are attaching great importance to the economic diplomacy. The whole world has entered into a market economic competition of a new era. The fierce competition requires all countries to take various diplomatic measures in order to explore the international market for their own enterprises.However, in the anarchical situation of the international relation, hegemony countries tend to take strong and aggressive economic diplomacy with the aim to maximize their national interests. Whereas, economic sanction and economic rescue are frequently taken by those countries as main measures in economic diplomacy.This paper, starting from the classic case of Napoleon continental system, further studies the economic sanction and economic rescue and their practical effect which two are the most important measures in the economic diplomatic. By referring back to the international relation during the era of continental system, the paper tries to explore experience and laws in it after drawing lessons from the past.
