Abstract


In recent years, a lot of local governments launched the diversified forms of activities of public participation in government performance measurement, which have achieved certain goals. For example, these activities, to a certain extent, have promoted the development of the serving type administration, improved the government’s performance and the public’s sense of participation. But because of the shortage of the relevant theories and the deficiencies of practical experience, many problems have existed in the Public Participation. Therefore, it becomes very necessary to make further investigation and research on the Public Participation in Local Government Performance Measurement so as to solve these problems existing in the Public Participation in Local Government Performance Measurement, improve the working efficiency of the serviced Government, and finally really realize the efficient Public Participation in Local Government Performance Measurement.This essay, basing on the affirmation of the basic character and significance of public participation in government performance measurement, starts from the analysis of public participation activities in government performance measurement., Meanwhile, makes a conclusion for many activities of public participation in government performance measurement in the form of chart, then, aiming at the actuality of public participation in government performance measurement and its existing problems, this essay, combining normative and empirical research studies, etc, makes an overall analysis and discussion on the problems of public participation in local government performance measurement.This essay falls into three parts altogether:PartⅠ:The summary of public participation in local government performance measurement. PartⅡ:The analysis of the current situation, the existing problems and their cause formation of public participation in local government performance measurement. PartⅢ:The countermeasure of public participation in local government Performance measurement of our country. On the basis of the analysis above, the author draws a conclusion:the studies of public participation in local government is quite a complicate important theme which refers to many elements and links, especially, which is a system project and a gradual process. Due to my limited knowledge and ability and the lack of correlation theory and collecting data, this article has still many deficiency, for example, many analysis in the article are inadequately considered and a lot of problems still need being further studied later in my life.
