Abstract


The maturation of microwave techniques and social demands for communication make the scale and complexity of transmission network grow rapidly in recent years. Such condition drives increase in importance of network management, including requirement on powerful managements for the microwave-specific networks. With the view to whole system structure, software-hardware platform, applications’functionalities and data communication, microwave-networking devices have to have powerful processing ability. At present, the SNMP had already became the standard protocol. SNMP is designed for the purpose of effective operation on networking, which is a process including data collecting,data processing,data analyzing, reporting trap to manager and generating control command to networking.The paper proposed a design and its implementation of microwave-networking management software through analysis on characters of SNMP and microwave-networking device.implemented high reliability, stability and scalability to adapt to the continuous development of the microwave equipment and expansion of programsMain contributions are listed as follows:1. Analysis the modeled management on networking and introduced SNMP protocol specification and working principle. Understand current network management softwares’ usual functionalities and requirements.2. Introduced the principles and system models of microwave-network device. Specified network management clients’ needs with analysis of microwave-networking performance. 3. Based on the characteristics of microwave transmission equipment, the design uses modularity method and communice with underlying,network management software system is divided into two functional modules:SNMP communication modules, SOCKET communication module. Provides an interface’s SNMP Agent software, real-time view network operations or reported Trap. Taking into account the reliability, efficiency and scalability of the concept, this paper uses a socket communication, achieve simple and fast method get the database, and SNMP communication modules to achieve the specific object operation processing. This is the innovation and the difficulties of the paper.Finally, through test,it is proved each module features well-designed and worked,the result meet the expected feasibility, accuracy analysis.
