Abstract


The BeiDou satellite navigation and positioning system is a new generation ofglobal navigation and positioning system which is developed and runingindependently by China.11satellites launched with initial operational capability bythe end of2011. After further improved, regional service system will be completed.The BeiDou satellite navigation and positioning system will have service abilities ofcoverage in Asia-Pacific Region. Its precision will be about10meters. In2020, thissystem will consist of more than30satellites. At that time, it will provide position,timing and navigation services which own high precision and high reliability.On one hand, the GPS (Global Positioning System) built by the US is the mostpopular global navigation and positioning system with more than a95%market share.On the other hand, multi satellite navigation system could be good news as there willbe more visible satellites, which mean the improvement of the precision andreliability for the positioning.This paper mainly focused on the construction and application of BeiDou/GPSintegrated CORS network, and the contribution of this work can be list as following:1. Design of BeiDou/GPS integrated CORS networkThis part introduces design and theoretical basis of BeiDou/GPS integratedCORS network. In terms of design, it includes system framework design, referencestations design, software and hardware design of data center, communicationsubsystem design and so on. In terms of theoretical basis, it includes Network RTKpositioning technology, Virtual Reference Station (VRS) and GPS/BeiDou integratedsystem localization algorithm.2. Construction of BeiDou/GPS integrated CORS networkIn terms of construction, it includes reference stations construction, data centerconstruction and communication subsystem construction. Finally, NRS Net and NRSServer (CORS Software) are used for data storing, data broadcasting, user’spermission conforming, system monitoring, system maintenance, system managementand so on.3. RTK experiments and result analysis on the BeiDou/GPS integratedCORS network We use several dual-system and dual-frequency receivers for BeiDou signaltesting in Daejoen(Korea). The test does not only test the system function andavailability, but also show advantages of the GPS/BeiDou integrated satellitenavigation system in improving the positioning capability. Finally, we analyzesatellite visibility and DOP value of GPS, BeiDou and the integrated navigationsystem theoretically, providing data to support conclusion above.
