Abstract


The operating system is the heart and soul of the computer system and it’s an essential part of the computer system whcih makes it become a baisc professional course. Given the course includes lots of concepts and its content is quite obscure, furthermore, this course is characterized with flexibility and comprehensiveness, we design and develop the experimental environment of the operating system to make students have a better understanding of this course. On the one hand, the experimental environment can help students learn the knowledge of the operating system, on the other hand, it can improve the students’ practical skills and analytical ability either.The experimental environment using the Visual Basic development tools in the Windows environment to build a simulated lab environment, consisting of welcome, login, and the experimental interface. The Interface integrated with editing, debugging, operating system. The source program of the analog system can be loaded in the experimental environment, then editing, saving,debugging and operating can be available, so do the observatione of the management process of the operating system. C language is employed to design a small simulation system,containing the process management and storage management. Real computer resources is replaced by a reasonable data structure.Here is my work in the process of designing the experimental environment:1.I have studied the management process of operating system and other experimental system, to explore the overall function of the experimental environment and framework.2. C language is used to design a small simulation system in my study.3.1have tried to learn the Visual Basic and this tool has been used to help design an experimental environment.4. Combined the personnel training programs, I have analyzed and designed the process and storage management.I hope the students can have a more profound, intuitive understanding of the principles and process of the operating system through the practice of the above set of experiments.Programming skills is also expexted to be improved.
