Abstract


With the rapid development of computer and network technologies, the applications of computer have been increasingly extended. In the modern university library management, it becomes an increasingly prominent issue about how to provide services conveniently for readers, and how to improve the utilization of books.This thesis designs a library management system to achieve the above goal. This includes a systematic needs analysis, with the UML modeling language and ROSE to build demand for library management system model. The static and dynamic models are built on needs analysis and use case models. A case diagram is given and the library management system is achieved with J2EE environment.Books and materials can be lent out or acquired through this system from the internet. Through establishment of the library website, readers can check their own library collections from the Internet and their own borrowing information, facilitate the development of online renewal and loss business books, and the readers can also solve the problem of geographical restrictions on borrowing.
