With the rapid development of the Internet technology and e-commerce, on-lineshopping has been popular in common life and has occupied the consumer market.Compared with the current popular general shopping mall, the market lacks this kindof malls which focuses on special products. Besides, with the extending application ofthe Internet, the problem of information overload on the Internet should be paid moreattention to. However, at present, the mainstream technology of information filteringbased on information retrieval does not solve the information overload problem, andthe research of information filtering system is insufficient. Considering the advantagesof information filtering system, such as high quality, facing individual interests, andlow interference, the article is aimed at using the technology of information filteringto develop a special local product on-line mall based on individualizedrecommendation.This article intends to use the relevant knowledge and some instruments ofdeveloping information system to design and develop a special local product on-linemall based on individualized recommendation. Referring to the common process ofdeveloping an information system, the article includes the demand analysis, thesystem design, and the system implementation. Firstly, it elaborates the currentsituation of similar programs and some background knowledge of individualizedrecommendation, and then makes deep analysis about the necessity and feasibility ofthis program. Secondly, it uses UML (Unified Modeling Language) to do demandanalysis of this on-line mall, with Use Case Diagram, Collaboration Diagram, ActivityDiagram, and Sequence Diagram, design the database in structure layer, logic layer,and conceptual layer, and does detailed function design. Thirdly, it develops andrealizes the website with PHP. Lastly, it shows the interface of this website and makessome conclusions and expectation.
