Abstract


.Without limitations and constraints of time, location and other conditions, vending machine becomes a common business equipment. Vending machines save manpower, reduce the cost of labor costs and compensate lack of human resources. Besides, the transactions of vending machines are more convenient, more effective, and have less working capital and small footprint.From the perspective of customers and managers, the vending machines need to meet the functional and performance requirements were analyzed in this paper. Furthermore, the overview of the vending machines for sale was introduced which were studied and developed by the members of our laboratory. The aging test of vending machines is designed. The test procedure includes the test of the screw modules for goods delivering, the test of lift loading module, and the test of refrigeration module as well as sale simulation. The test results were analyzed and the corresponding conclusions were drawn.Although vending machine on campus has the function of automated sale, it is need human intervention to replenish goods, retrieve income money, and load the change. Due to the unstable features of sales of beverage automated vending machine on campus, the sales of vending machines on campus need to be predicted so that staff should be arranged in reasonable cycles and intervals to open and operate vending machine.Since the neural network does not need to establish parameters of the analytical model, it shows more advantages than traditional methods in prediction. The changes and variation of the sales in a cycle, such as a week or a month, of vending machine on campus were studied and summarized BP neural network was selected as the model for sale forecast of vending machine sales on campus. The network structures and algorithms of BP neural network were studied and simulated. Also the network layer structure, the number of neurons on each layer, training algorithms and other conditions were compared and analyzed. Finally, an appropriate network model and training algorithm was determined. Experiments results and analysis verify the effect and performance of the proposed neural network prediction model for sale forecast of vending machine sales on campus. The construction and simulation for Sale forecasting model of vending machine on campus based on neural network is a useful project application with economic prospects. This technology will play an increasing role with the spread of vending machines on campus.
