Ming and Qing Dynasty, the final two feudal dynasties in China lasting500years,have left a large amount of the written materials storing in the central and localinstitutions. Many archives institutions published those archives combining themtogether. Thus, there are many archives publications. This study pays attention to theachievement of the archives collection which collecting Ming Dynasty and QingDynasty’s written materials after the Founding of the People’s Republic of China.This study has five parts. The first part is about the history of Ming and QingDynasty archives compilation after Founding of PRC. Beginning with the Republicanperiod, this part of history is divided into the Early Days of foundation, the CulturalRevolution, the early era of Reform and Opening-up, and the New Period. It focuses onthese archives compiles publication status of each period. The second part discusses themain research of Ming and Qing archival compilation after Founding of PRC accordingto several major institutions. The third part mainly talks about the category of Ming andQing Dynasty archives compiles achievements after Founding of PRC, which classes incompile form, compile content and compile author. The fourth part discusses the filecompiled after the founding of the Ming and Qing style, collected by six aspectsincluding the historical selecting principle, the tag of the archives sources, the formationof archives title, the order of archives arrangement, the principles adopted by the archivesdate, the processing of the other archives history materials. At last, in the fifth part, thisstudy sums up the features and the enlightenment of Ming and Qing Dynasty archivescompilation after Founding.
