Abstract


With the soaring of the global economy, environmental problems, such as pollution, exhaustion of resources and ecological unbalance and etc., have been becoming increasingly serious, thus severely affect the quality and sustainable development of economy. Bank, the core of economy system, cannot escape such effect. Consequently, it is necessary for bank to carry out the innovation with the theme of green-credit policy. Under such background, China commercial banks should construct long term environment-protecting credit mechanism through setting up environment access in the field of financial credit, controlling the sources of funds for the high-consuming and high polluting business lines and carrying out green-credit policy, in order to achieve the economical sustainable development.Based on the concept of green-credit policy, the author introduces the implemental standard and successful measure of international green finance, and analyzes the background and measures of the green-credit policy of China commercial banks. Focusing on the gained experiences and existing problems of setting up the system of this policy in Commercial Bank, this paper analyzes the problems existing in carrying out such policy in China, and proposes some suggestions under the base of advanced experiences of developed countries.Facing the unideal effect of administrative management, more and more people are expecting to reduce or even eliminate the negative effect on social and ecological environment brought by high-consuming and high polluting projects through setting up standards in the field of credit in banks, which not only meet the development requests of global economy but also reduce the risk of assets in global commercial banks. Under such encouraging challenges, China commercial banks should follow the developing trend of international banks and enhance self-ability through studying such advanced experiences, improving the system of green-credit, founding the related rewards and punishments mechanism, and constructing the implementing environment of green-credit policy, in order to exalt the power of China Commercial banks in international competition.
