In recent years , due to the rapid development of the telecommunications industry , concerned about the antenna field more and more . Microstrip antenna has its own small size , low cost , stable structure , easy integration notable feature has been widely used , but studies have shown that applied to the low- frequency band microstrip antenna size is still very large , and microstrip antenna miniaturization usually can not meet with the broadband characteristics , so this will be to design a both miniaturized wideband microstrip antenna , which will have a very good value . The same time , due to the increasingly wide application side of the field of wireless communications , has been extended to the wireless local area network (WLAN) and 3G bands , so it brings prosperity of the antenna field , this paper the WLAN , W - CDMA antenna also further research , two novel dual-band antenna design . This paper introduces the basic theory of the microstrip antennas , including microstrip antenna definition , classification , radiation mechanism , feed method and analysis methods . Then according to these theories , using electromagnetic simulation software CST on this article designed several microstrip antenna modeling and simulation , several basic parameters of the operating bandwidth . The main content of the paper is divided into two parts. The first part is a miniaturized wideband microstrip antenna design , starting from simple rectangular microstrip antenna design a new antenna to meet the miniaturization and broadband , to make it work in the 2.4GHz band , specific analysis of the impact of antenna small factors and broadband , the final results showed that the paragraph antenna to achieve the design specifications . The second part of the study design of two dual-frequency microstrip antenna : WLAN antenna and used in 3G W-CDMA band antenna scan analysis of different parameters to obtain a better simulation results . Finally, a summary of the thesis work , design deficiencies and the need for improved part .
