Abstract


After a Decade of temper, GEM in China, finally, was born in 2009 under the context of the unprecedented financial crisis. Around the world, the emergence and development of the GEM markets is not accidental.Responding to the new trend of economic development and the inevitable result of economic globalization, the role of GEM in the process of socio-economic development can not be underestimated. However, statistics showed that many countries imitate the American market maker system and the the sponsorship system of AIM in the market positioning and distribution and other listing standards . Ultimately ,the GEM in those countries are not developed, thus their small and medium enterprises play very limited role. How to take full advantage of the benefits of the GEM, how to avoid the risks, how to set the policy environment and supporting measures to ensure the smooth and healthy development of GEM, thus contributing to the rapid advance of the new economy is a matter of national economy,which is related to the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.GEM, which is the key support for growth of SMEs,is orientated on SMEs. This type of enterprise is not only the fundamental reasons that lead to the emergency of GEM, but also the direct beneficiaries of the GEM.What’s more,SMES directly promote the expansion of GEM. International experience shows that a well-functioned Growth Enterprise Market can greatly promote the development of SMEs and the overall growth of national economic, in turn, the development of SMEs on the Growth Enterprise Market also plays a great role in promoting GEM.It is of great significance for the development of China’s Growth Enterprise Market and SMES to correctly understand the interaction between them, thereby stimulating the growth of the entire national economy. This shows that the growth of SMEs and the development of the market is closely linked on the basis of interaction between the two, thus a country’s economy will be able to achieve rapid and healthy growth. From this point, this paper attempts to analyze the theoretical framework of the GEM and the growth of SMEs in the one-way mechanism under the framework of the orderly theory of corporate finance, financial agency theory, use the systemic thinking method to identify components of the interactive system and its running mechanism, and then on the basis of the GEM in South Korea, to establish the relevant models in order to find out effective methods to enhance interaction between the growth of SMEs and GEM.This paper is aimed to make some contributions to the theoretical study of SMEs and GEM so as to improve the interaction between the two.
