Abstract


In recent years, China’s logistics industry and logistics enterprises achieved rapid development. but in front of increasingly fierce competition and imperfect industry environment, the development of logistics enterprises and logistics industry need scientific classification and grading standard of logistics enterprises urgently. In this case, to establish the classification and grading standard of logistics enterprises which is based on reality, in line with the development trend of China’s logistics business is particularly important.As a research premise, the author reviews the research literatures of classification and grading for logistics enterprises home and abroad. The author puts forward more reasonable definition of logistics enterprises innovatively after review the process of evolution for definition of logistics enterprises.Then the author researches classification and grading of China’s logistics enterprises based on the data of sample logistics enterprises. In the research of classification for China’s logistics enterprises, the author puts forward "the classification of China’s logistics enterprises based on cluster analysis" innovatively, and proves applicability and effectiveness of this method by comparing fast clustering with hierarchical clustering. The author proves usefulness of this method by discriminant analysis and case studies. In the research of grading for China’s logistics enterprises, the author re-builds the index system for grading China’s logistics enterprises to overcome defects in the existing standard and puts forward "the grading of China’s logistics enterprises based on index weight" innovatively. To avoid drawbacks of index weight affected by subjective factors, the author puts forward "the grading of China’s logistics enterprises based on factor analysis" innovatively and proves applicability and effectiveness of this method by comparing the results of the two grading methods.Finally, the author discusses the application value of the classification and grading of China’s logistics enterprises. The definition of logistics enterprises and the classification and grading of China’s logistics enterprises in this paper provide research ideas and foundation for the follow-up researcher.
