Today, climate change is a global issue of common concern to the international community. The government makes great efforts to save resource and protect environment. The new“energy saving and emission reduction storm”has been started in steel industry. Under this background, the energy saving and emission reduction should be taken in stainless steel industry which has been vigorously developed ten years.There are some problems existed in stainless steel Bright annealing such as higher exhaust temperature, high energy consumption and wasting energy sources seriously. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to have a prophase research on stainless steel Bright annealing. Firstly, heat balance test and energy diagnosis should be done for the stainless steel Bright annealing on the basis of previously analysis with the targets of maximum energy saving and environmental benefit, minimum cost. Also, optimized waste exhaust heat recovery technique road and technical data is analyzed with the step utilization of the energy. Then, the near limited waste exhaust heat recovery system based on the development of advanced heat-pipe heat is researched. The creative compact heat-pipe double preheating heat exchanger is used in the structure while the temperature of atomization-vaporization wind is raised to near 100℃which can be treated as the simple and practical heat source for the Fuel oil. Next, the optimized method is designed which can adjust heat data, the amount of gasoline injected by nozzles, air temperature and atomizing air temperature and the velocity of Fluxes of stainless steel synthetically. In the meanwhile, the temperatures of combustion-supporting air and atomization-vaporization air are raised, the heat efficiency of Bright annealing is raised 7%-18% after combustion with very good economic benefit. After tested, there is no obvious different of the discharge of pollutants such as SO2, NOX and CO with the application of compact heat-pipe double preheating heat exchanger. It is obviously of the effect of energy saving and emission reduction.This research can provide scientific basis for the actual engineering. Also, it can provide experience in reaching the objectives of energy saving and emission reduction for other parts of China and industry.
