Along with the increasing market competition, the enterprises should explore new salary strategy adapting to the industrial practice as well as the enterprise’s, which could improve both the managerial effectiveness and efficiency. As a new but promising strategy, broadband salary management, by emphasizing the employee performance, motivating employees, improving the enthusiasm of the member, has been regarded as a good way to realize enterprise profit maximization and enhance the profession competitive power.This study reported a case study on salary management in XP Co. Ltd, taking into account the current research situation and practice both home and abroad, at the full reference to salary management related theories. First of all, the thesis introduces the background, research purpose and research implications, and then summarizes the basic theories, methods and application modes of broadband salary management. After examining both internal and external situation and environment of XP Co. Ltd, this study points out the necessity and feasibility as well as the problems when implementing broadband salary management. Furthermore, the broadband salary management scheme, meeting the needs of XP Co. Ltd, is designed. The proposed salary system consists of four parts, namely basic salary, performance salary, allowances and welfare insurance. Specially, entry point table method is used to design broadband salary structure and broadband salary level. In addition, the study also addresses the problems to which should be paid attention and highlights the key measures which should be taken when implementing broadband salary. Finally, the study indicates that the broadband salary can bring management benefit to XP Co. Ltd.To sum up, this thesis reported the innovative application of Broadband Salary Management strategy in a regional market for a specific oil and gas construction enterprise. The findings of this case study could benefit the other enterprises in the same industry and could be regarded as references to the ones in other industries.
