Abstract


With the development of urbanization and the improvement of China’s urbanization, urban transportation structure becomes a pressing issue that must be solved. In order to make rational use of limited urban land and transportation resources, to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion, improve the urban space morphology, urban traffic will certainly increase the strength of structural adjustment. Take effective measures to give priority to the development of public transport, particularly in developing mass, fast and efficient urban subway has become China’s future development direction of public transport.Urban subway are mass public transport, is a quasi-public goods. The completion of subway will take great changes in the quantity and quality of the flow, through improved accessibility to change the socio-economic development along the subway transportation of the location. Moreover, the impact of subway is not only to improve traffic conditions, but also lies in the restructuring of urban space and the guide to urban economic and social change, showing a significant positive externalities.This thesis reviews the research progress in urban subway issue and relevant theories.From space, economic and social point of view of the external study of subway. The subway as a new mode of transportation, it will be promoting the accessibility of urban re-composition, changeing the urban structure, constituting a site along the extension of the development of urban space axis. At the same time, it will induce the development of land along with economic prosperity, changing the nature and intensity of land use so as to promote value-added along the property. It can also improve the quality of urban life, and promote sustainable development of cities. Secondly, on the basis of theoretical framework, building a analysis of the external evaluation of Chengdu Metro. Mainly from the macro level, analysis the impact of urban development of the externality of Chengdu Metro, including the impact of urban spatial structure and the impact of urban economic development. From a microscopic level, analysis the the impact of the various stakeholders of the externality of Chengdu Metro, including the impact of urban residents, different interest groups, the factory owners and the city government. At the same time, forecasting the region that Chengdu Metro will be focus developed in the future. Finally, giving the effective proposals for government to lead the external positive effect of subway.
