Abstract

Economic globalization has become a major trend in the world of politics, economic development, developed to a certain stage in the process of economic globalization, however, various countries began to recognize that globalization is a double-edged sword, to enjoy the benefits brought about by globalization gradually experiencing the evils of globalization, especially in developing countries, is facing enormous challenges. In this case, various countries have begun to form a small range of regional cooperation in order to pursue their own economic development. The sub-regional economic cooperation is a form of regional integration in East Asia has a special importance, Lancang - Mekong sub-regional cooperation is to adapt to this situation and to carry out together. More than a decade, the Mekong sub-regional cooperation has made rapid progress compared with other forms of regional cooperation, the Mekong sub-regional cooperation unique. Lancang - Mekong Sub-region has a prominent location, abundant resources, and to develop economic cooperation is conducive to the integration of the countries of the subregion force, to mobilize the power of the parties within and outside the region, to promote the region in order to stimulate the development of national socio-economic development of the East Asian economy as a whole. After entering the 21st century, the Mekong sub-regional cooperation is facing unprecedented opportunities Mekong Sub-region has also become the focus of many national competition. China through its participation in the Mekong sub-regional cooperation is conducive to the mutual understanding and friendship between the promotion and the five countries of the basin, in order to ensure peace and stability in the region, to strengthen the friendly relations between China and ASEAN countries, to create a good surrounding environment for the development of our country , which is to accelerate the large-scale development of the western region in China, an important way to enhance the country's overall strength. However, the Mekong sub-regional cooperation is not as productive as the imagination, still faces many difficulties and problems. Between the countries of the subregion there was not only a high degree of consistency of policy objectives, the clear intent of open national economies, countries in the level of dependence on foreign trade, the remarkable effectiveness of economic integration with the world, the degree of trade integration in the region is significantly superior to the EU member states, such as macroeconomic factors conducive to the sub-regional economic cooperation, but also the existence of the low negative factors such as the economic development gap between the poor transport infrastructure, the degree of integration with the world market. According to the economic profile of the countries of the subregion favorable conditions for cooperation in the Mekong sub-region as well as the problems, the analysis of certain policies and proposals for sub-regional cooperation.
