Abstract


Plastic pipe reinforced by helically cross-winding steel wire (PSP) is a composite pipe. High-density thermoplastic polythlene(PE) is the base part of plastic pipe reinforced by helically cross-winding steel wire (PSP) and steel wire mesh skeleton formed by crossly winding high strength steel wire is the enhancement layer of PSP pipe. They are integrated with each other by high-performance resin. The unique structure makes PSP not only integrates the advantages of plastic and steel, but also overcomes drawback of steel pipe lined with plastic. According to specific circumstances of transportation, installation etc for PSP.the mechanical properties of PSP under bending and impact are studied in the paper.(1) According to the basic structure of PSP pipe, it can be divided into the inner layer, the outer layer and the reinforced layer. Also make A simplified model of each layer is made and the assumption of the basic theory is proposed.(2) Finite element analysis software ABAQUS is used to build3D finite element model of the pipe under bending to identify moment-curvature corresponding relationship.(3) Designing PSP experiment under bending, using four-point bend test to measure displacement and force of specified point and calculating moment and curvature to verificate the accuracy of the theoretical analysis and finite element numerical simulation.(4) According to the the principle of virtual work. PSP pipe load any state of equilibrium equations during bending is obtained. Then using the Newton-Raphson method for solving nonlinear equations. Finally using MATLAB program to get bending-Curvature relationship.(5) Comparing bending-Curvature relationship from the finite element method, experimental, theoretical methods and making a summary of the analysis.(6) Depending on the ABAQUS,several key parameters,such as steel diameter, winding angle,numbers etc were carried out to investigate the effects on the bending capacity of pipe.By analyzing the influence of each parameter on minimum bending radius of curvature,summarizing the formula of minimum bending radius of curvature to provide a reference for the design and application of the pipeline.(7) ABAQUS were used to analysis the forces, impact energy, deformation etc of PSP pipe and pure PE pipe under the impact and investigate winding steels of enhancement layers’effects on PSP pipe.The material was respectively considered elastic-plastic and elastic.
