Abstract


In recent years, crude oil has been into the era of high oil prices. Environmentalrequirements of vehicle fuel have improved continuously. Because the pricedifference between the high sulfur crude and sour crude is big, it is gradually obviousthat we can improve the benefits of oil refining enterprises by lowering thepurchasing cost of crude oil. When the price difference is more than3dollars, we cansave the cost of more than200million RMB by processing2million tons of highsulfur crude more. So the effective use of crude oil fractions is the goal of oil refiningenterprises. Residue hydrotreating unit is used to split the residue into lighterfractions. However, there will be a higher cost in the energy and materialconsumption and the operation cost when processing the high sulfur crude. What’smore, the sulfur will not only influence the quality of products, increase theequipment corrosion, but also pose a threat to the environment and safety. Therefore,this thesis selects the residue hydrotreating unit in Sinopec Maoming branch as theresearch object and establishes an evaluation model of economic operation byanalyzing the oil properties, oil costs, operation cost, operation cycle and productsmarket.This thesis gives an introduction of the Maoming refinery process, residuehydrotreating reaction principle, and the process of residue hydrotreating unit. It alsoanalyzes the elements influencing the economy operation of residue hydrotreatingunit, for example, property of raw materials, raw material cost, operation cost,operation cycle, products value and the safety operation of the units. On the basis ofthese, it will establish the economic operation model of residue hydrotreating.In order to establish the economic model of residue hydrotreating unit, this thesis,according to the catalyst cycle model provided by manufacturers, firstly establishesthe raw material cost model using the linear programming tools. And secondly itestablishes the operation cost and products distribution model with the help ofPetro-sim process simulation software provided by British KBC Company. Lastly, asthe maximization of the refining enterprise overall profit a goal; it establishes the economic model of residue hydrotreating unit using the liner mathematicaloptimization tools. This model is tested and achieves the anticipated goal.Residue hydrotreating unit is between the atmospheric-vacuum distillation unitand FCC unit. It’s the downstream of atmospheric-vacuum distillation unit andupstream of FCC unit. Thus we can’t get the raw materials prices of this model fromthe market and its products can’t wholly reflect the situation of the market products.Therefore it’s necessary to study the economic model of residue hydrotreating unitand promote it to the refining level. Based on these, the application principles shouldbe made. We can apply the model to the production schedule and plan. For example,it can calculate the proportion of raw materials and executors can control theproduction schedule according to it. In addition, the application of this model candetermine the connections among the economic operation of the unit and oil varietiesselection, the price of crude oil, crude oil processing. This provides a basis fordecision-making of oil varieties selection and plant operation cycle. At present, thetool has been applied to the production and achieved remarkable results.
