Abstract


Pipeline transportation in the modern industrial processes are gaining in status, with a large volume, low energy consumption, reliable security and continuity, and other characteristics, For crude oil, natural gas and other special resources, transportation has a great advantage. However, in the process of pipeline operation spill also occurred, in addition to natural and technological factors, stolen activities of unscrupulous elements in recent years is one of the causes leakage. In order to curb crime stolen, prevent the loss of crude oil, and to maintain the normal operation of pipeline. Jing-hui pipeline for example, leak detection system on the development and optimization is the main direction of this article.This negative-pressure-wave method of leak detection and location method for a detailed study, there are two key issues that affect the accurate positioning with the use of Negative-pressure-wave method:1. Extract the time difference between upstream and downstream sensor by the negative-pressure-wave accurately;2. How to get an accurate-negative pressure-wave velocity. And its corresponding solutions are proposed. Also with the Shukhov Temperature Drop Formula and the Halliwell Water Hammer Wave Velocity Formula we derived hot oil pipeline leak’s analytical solution. And Finally, Jing-Hui Pipeline Leak Detection System was calibrated for the system’s optimal time, that regular use of GPS clock system timing the Detection System. After the calculation, and found that timing GPS module is greatly improved leak point positioning accuracy.Use of negative-pressure-wave method for oil pipeline leakage detection and location in the practical application of simple principle, positioning accuracy and other advantages, together with other principles of the pipeline leak detection systems will significantly improve the detection sensitivity and accuracy, thus ensuring the pipeline safe operation, obvious restraint the happen of the drilling stolen accident, has obvious social and economic benefits.
