Abstract
|
YBCO superconducting films were prepared by fluorine-free metal-organicdeposition method (MOD) in this paper. Superconducting character and structureof YBCO were influenced by several parameters discussed here such as dipping rate, temperature of epitaxial growth, time of epitaxial growth, partial pressure of waterand additives. The epitaxial characteristics and microstructure morphologies ofYBCO thin films which were prepared by fluorine-free MOD method adopted inthis paper were analyzed with X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electronic Microscopy,TG-DTA and other techniques.Compared with the conventional all-fluorine MOD method, FF-MOD methodadopted here had a very short time for heat treatment because of the rapid heating-upprocess. Lack of the fluorine element, the precursor YBCO film can be heated upquickly without considering the consistency of micro-surface.The superconducting characteristics of YBCO films were highly improved byintake of mass quantity of water to eliminate abundant BaCO3particles generated inthe heat process which would cause the weak connection around grain boundary.Xylene, as an additive here, also help improve the film characteristics bychanging the precursor properties and getting a better connection between theprecursor and substrate. The best quantity of xylene was studied in this paper.Partial melting process was introduced in this paper to obtain YBCOsuperconducting films of better orientation and microstructure morphology.
