Abstract

At present, the blank-roasting acid-leaching process for stone coal is widely used inindustry due to eco-friendly and high efficiency characters. Vanadium is released into theleachate from micas through acid leaching. However, the concentration of vanadium is too lowand there are so many impurities owing to the weak selectivity of acid. Therefore, it is necessaryto purify and enrich the leachate. This thesis investigated the parameters of solvent extraction vanadium for the leachate frommicas-bearing stone coal, analyzed the reasons for the formation of emulsified materials duringthe extraction procedure and gave the solutions. The optimal parameter of solvent extraction is aqueous pH value of2.0, the organic of20%(v/v)P204:5%(v/v) TBP:75%(v/v) sulfonated kerosene, O/A phase ratio of (v/v)1/3andextraction time of8min.5-stage extraction efficiency was99%. The optimal tripping parameterwas H2SO4concentration of8%(v/v), O/A phase ratio of (v/v)10/1and stripping time of10min.8-stage stripping efficiency was99%.Research for emulsified materials indicated that solid particles were formed from sulfate, silicic acid and hydrolysate from metallic ions in aqueous phase during solvent extraction.Meanwhile, there were surface-active impurities and degradation products in organic phase.Liquid droplets with surface-active impurities absorbed the solid particles. The droplets excludedeach other in aqueous phase and were difficult to get together, which stabilized the emulsifiedmaterials. Additionally, interfacial solid film was formed between the liquid droplets with solidparticles to improve the stability of emulsified materials. The following measures can be taken inorder to extract vanadium from the leachate normally:(1) decline the solid substances in aqueousphase and the surface-active substances in organic phase;(2) increase the content of TBP toimprove the polarity of extraction agent;(3) decrease the colloidal materials in aqueous.
