Abstract


During12th five-year plan period, the economic and social development in Sichuan has gradually entered to improve the quality of life as the main goal of building a well-off society, which will bring about the Railway transportation industry unprecedented opportunities and challenges. In order to meet this. how to develop the Railway transportation market in Sichuan province should arouse the management department on close attention.This thesis uses the computable general equilibrium model(CGE for short) to simulate the entire operation of economy and the impact of Railway transportation industry to national economy. in the academic field, most of researchers always use input-output model (I/O for short) to solve problems like the influence of every indusrey to national economy as a whole. Comparing with I/O model, CGE can simulate the operation of economy more precise. The whole thesis is organized in6chapters. The first two chapters introduceBackground and give an overview of literature respectively, while the rest of paper is generally divided into two Parts: the CGE modeling and case implementation. Chapter1and2are the background introduction, and then reviews the relevant research on CGE model. Chapter3first traces the definition of shipping industry and the actuality of China Railway transportation industry. Then introduce and analyze the Development actuality of Sichuan Province Railway transportation industry. In the chapter4, the basic theory system of CGE model has been deseribed, including the basic ideology, character, frame of the model The fourth Part Presents the model, comprising model tentative, Parameters variables and equations of the CGE model. The next chapter5the data source and the solution of the model. it focuses on how to construct Sichuan SAM and how to use software GAMS. The last Part is the case implementation. These hypotheses can give a conclution about the effection of Sichuan Railway transportation industry to the economy.
